Mothering

Take me with you into the adventures of your life.
Show me the things that get you excited.
Tell me why you want to try something new.
I want to bear witness to your living, I want to be a part of your dream.
I am a moon orbiting your world, watching from afar.
Occasionally you look back at me and feel my glowing presence.

Ice Skating with Old Friends

The Feiters came out for a little Spring Break escape. They snuck in late night to our new basement, our first official "house-guests". We caught up with them in the morning for breakfast, complete with the introduction of glorious cronuts in to our lives, before heading up to Keystone to ski. We met them the following day for some fun in the mountains. It's always great to sit next to a good friend and catch up and laugh.

no surprise miss M took to these two and asked to go to their house the day after this

look at this hot momma and her beautiful girl
look at this hot momma and her beautiful purse -
loved the added bonus of seeing Dahlia's bro, Tony,
for the first time since their wedding
I love this shot
I couldn't remember what Dahlia was doing until...
how could I forget TRex arm?!
so a duck walks in to a bar...
this looks pulled from some 1980s roller skate movie

dig my 80s rocker hair?! It's really just the wind.
Until we meet again...

The Sands of Time

We stopped at the

Great Sand Dunes

on our way home from Taos. I had not been there yet. We snuck in and spent the night in the park, which meant when we woke up in the morning, we had the best view of the light coming over the sand. It was a pretty cool stop to make. The walkers in the group loved the adventure; those along for the ride, weren't as pumped on the experience.

she always steels the show...

A Change of Pace

We went up to the mountains for the night. It was the first time since August when miss A was UBER lethargic and breathing heavily and I made D drive us back home. This time around, we all had fun. Funny how a quick walk proves to be just the thing to remedy a toddlers bad mood (as well as a dog and two over whined parents).

That and a game of hide and seek
(it's these moments that make toddler hood so endearing
- she giggled like crazy the whole time while I tried to find her).

Not forgotten, just "back at the ranch" napping while we horsed around.

Wedding Weekend

We took the Swinger west to celebrate Emily and Dan's wedding at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Nothing is finer than the view on 285 west as Princeton looms in the horizon. I can't wait to bag another fourteener this year. Once I convinced my husby waking up 8.5 months pregnant next to a keg was not the most ideal situation, things eased up. Let's just say the Swinger and I are on a break for a bit. We're still friends, I'm sure we'll get back together soon...

Fresh Air

We have some family in town for a bit. For a few days, we escaped to the mountains to get some fresh air and break in the new sleds D bought Miss M. They hiked up the bunny hill at Keystone and rode down a few times. M loved every minute of it and though it doesn't looks like much, they surely got some speed.

Attention Please: Everyone in the Frame

The Rodgers came up to the Swinger last weekend. It was fun to watch the kids play. As always, it's almost impossible to get them in one photo all looking the same direction with both eyes... still we managed to have a good time. It's amazing what tequila does to stave off the world domination designs of three young masterminds.

These two photos remind me of those early 80s film photos that
sit in your camera until you finally get them printed 5 years later.
"Hey you. We're coming to get you in the zombie apocalypse."

This is just an exercise in territory and sharing
and balance on Uncle Andy's "Macgyver" swing.

And these are just too dang cute not to include.
