Covering the World

I found this the other day and thought it was pretty cool. I'm kicking myself for not holding on to the link to the site I got it from...


Speaking of the world, JH forwarded me this video last month and the visual keeps popping in to my head every now and again. The video shows yellow dots representing air traffic movement around the world over a 24 hour time span. At times life can seem so simple and our actions so primitive in nature. I like looking at this because it reminds me how small we are and how much we are buzzing around our own little organism of life.

*This version is a little too "Star Wars" for me but it's the only one that will fit in my blog without cutting off Asia, Australia, and New Zealand (all strong contenders, I think you will agree). You can view the slower, quite minute-long version here.
